My name is Steve Olney and I was born in Tucson AZ. I was raised in Indio / Palm Springs CA. As a kid, I spent most of my free time chasing lizards as well as hunting Jack Rabbits, quail as
well as any rattlesnake that I came across. I was 14 when I got my 1st summer job as a carpet helper. I never thought it would become my career but
I never seemed to get away from it. I went to a college prep private school for the 7-8th grade so coming back into public school I
became bored very quickly and halfway through the 10th grade I got my GED and have been working full time ever since. At
17 I went into the US Army and did a 2-year service. After my service, flooring installation was familiar so
I returned to it. At the age of 27, I was living in Virginia, I got married, and we had 2 girls that would be 3 girls that I had. I was and still am so very proud of all 3. I have a granddaughter now who is absolutely amazing.
I moved out to the Denver area in 1996 and was there for 21 years, where I continued in flooring installation.
Over the years I have led 9 different mission's
teams to different parts of Mexico and into the Amazon jungle in Peru. I love to serve. I am a dog person for sure and was so happy to
that this shop came with its own dog. I love and have played softball my entire life. I love craft beers along with great music.
My wife and I decided to move to the Eastern shore and we finally made it after installing for the better part of 40 years, I decided it was time to get off my knee's and was fortunate enough to find Sea Floor Carpets on the internet. I quickly found that we had quite a few things in common and truly felt it would be a great fit. I bring a wealth of installation experience to the table. I wanted to find a place that was interested in being the best and I believe I have found it.
