Luxury vinyl is a no-fuss flooring material that can be installed in every room in the home. It has a sophisticated look that complements the room decor, regardless of your decorating style. The flooring is durable, and it requires no maintenance beyond routine cleaning and occasional deep cleaning. You can find many trendy styles at Sea Floor - Carpet Hardwood & More in Ocean City, Maryland. We also have a shop at home service that makes shopping easy.

Plank and tile

Synthetic luxury vinyl plank and luxury vinyl tile mimic floor coverings that are made from natural materials. LVP looks like hardwood, and LVT looks like stone and ceramic, and some brands look like wood, too. Planks and tiles are composed of four layers. First, the high-tech image of wood, stone, or ceramic is covered by the wear layer. Then, the core layer, supported and protected by the backing layer, is below the image layer.

Core and wear layers

The core layer makes up the majority of the plank or tile. Typically, waterproof luxury vinyl has a wood plastic composite (WPC) or a stone plastic composite (SPC) core. The flooring tolerates standing water, so it is ideal for water-prone areas as well as moisture-prone areas. Be sure to choose a thick wear layer product so the image layer is well protected. For example, a 20-mil wear layer provides adequate protection in a space that receives heavy foot traffic.

Sea Floor - Carpet Hardwood & More offers glue-down and floating floor luxury vinyl flooring. Floating floor planks and tiles interlock, so the floor is above the subfloor or existing floor rather than attached to it. In addition to residential and commercial installation, we offer kitchen and bathroom remodeling, area rug binding, and more. In-home measurement is free. We bring products and services to the Delaware-Maryland Eastern Shore area, including Salisbury, Berlin, Ocean View, and Selbyville.
